i upgraded my shopsmith in 2004.i have found that i have a crack in the carriage on the left where the table post slides up and down.
can it be welded,has anyone else had this problem?

I am going to be making a wood workes bench, I have a few different plans from the net, I plan on using 4x4 doug fir for the legs. Also want to built it a bit shorter then my table saw hight to use it as an out feed table. Any thoughts plans would be appreciated.

If anyone has castors from another source and wants the template and bit PM me with your address and I'll mail them. Also if any of your castors are damaged I have 4 in good condition that you can have (or how many you need). My recommendation is to get the upgrade from Bill.

Not a bad deal at all but be aware that these wheels do not have bearings only a bushing. These are quite sufficient for lighter loads but I would not use them for the Shopsmith.
