Jointer Dust Chute Upgrade Kit Instructions needed

I have a Shopsmith #555077 Dust Chute Upgrade kit without the instructions. If anyone can get me a copy please PM me. I'm hoping that there are instructions on the drilling required.

Thanks, Dave

Shopsmith Speed Increaser question

Is it possible to use 1/2" shank bits with the speed increaser? I see an adapter for 1/4" bits. But, it says for use with 1/4" and 1/2" bits  . I was just curious if I'm reading that correctly and if anyone else is using 1/2" shank bits.

Please let me know.

Thanks, Dave

Turns out that it wasn't gray at all. It was a 1954 Greenie as you all suspected. So I am now the proud owner of another Shopsmith.....the addiction continues. It came with a Jointer, Jigsaw, and a upgraded bandsaw with the aluminum table. It also came with three tubs of blades, bits, attachments ...

I called Shopsmith because I thought it might fall into that group of numbers in the 70's with no data. They told me it was built in May of 1954.

I'm guessing the serial number was read to me wrong. Or the unit has been repainted. Or the paint is gone. I'm going to take a look at it tonight. So ...

Serial Number question

I am looking at buying a Mark V (Gray) with a serial number of 267477. I’ve looked at the Shopsmith web site serial number listing, but can’t seem to match that up to a gray machine. Am I missing something? Any info on the year this was made would be appreciated

Here is a picture of what I bought.
Sorry I was probably premature in asking my question.
I'll figure it out when I get it home.

Just bought a 10ER with a Jointer

How does the Jointer mount to the 10ER and get power. I have Mark V's but this is new to me. Found this on Craigslist for $125 with all of the attachments, mounted on a factory stand and casters, it also has the speed changer. I bought it with intentions of restoring. Inspired by the restorations I ...

Awesome Job!! Looks like a lot of detailed work for an outstanding completed project.

Are plans for this still available? If so where could I buy a set?
