I am close to Mesa Drive & Brown... by the canal. I looked up the local turning group in Tempe. Have you gone to any of their meetings? Where do you get your wood for turning? and other projects ...

I found these replacement parts in the Shopsmith "Service and Repair Parts" catalog section. The tool rest is listed under "Miscellaneous Accessories".

I just ordered a replacement from Shopsmith, but will keep you in mind in the future. Thank for the offer.

My first attempt turning was on Sunday 4/13/2014... Didn't go so well. Started out well and turned a nice bead and started a curve, but adjusted the speed and 4x4 came off of lathe hit the tool rest and snapped off the top of the tool rest from the base stud... now I need to fix it or replace it ...
