Hub sent from shopsmith does exactly what I wanted. Jsburger is correct, quill extension would not help. I don't like to extend the quill on operations if possible.

Thanks for all the help, glad I found the bub rather than the entire disk assembly.

Bottom Guard with Sanding Disk

Hello. I have a Mark V 510. I was trying to set up the bottom guard so I could hook up the dust collector. It appears that the arbor is too short with the guard on to attach properly. I see online at ShopSmith there is a dust attachment for the 500 but I have the 510. Curious if I have a sanding ...

Thank you..Was feeling kinda stumped to try to get the upper guard on..
Found a nice upper & lower guard on Ebay that will actually fit..

Here is a pic of the top guard for table saw.
Plastic part appears to be for mounting, something missing?

I just purchased a used Mark V 510. I think it was a very good deal as I have been looking for awhile on Craigslist. Included bandsaw, and jointer. The headstock was taken apart from previous owner and "re done". The shopsmith has virtually no rust anywhere and slides easily on the rails. Most I ...
