Is this a Mortising Chisel?
This tool came with my Shopsmith.
It doesn't look to me like a lathe chisel.
Is it a mortising chisel?
If so, how are they sharpened?
The handle is a bit loose. How can it be tightened?

Needed lots of penetrating fluid, and lots of manipulation from my foot. Repetition and a bit of pounding from a mallet.

Oh absolutely, until I trust this machine more I don't trust being in firing range for any sort of start up.
