The tilting band saw table was not invented by Sears .The. idea came from wood ship building . because of the heavy timbers. Moving the heavy timbers through the snglee blade was saffer

I had your shopsmith power pro runing hot. What I habe done when the machine is hot put machine drill pres mode lift top cover up and put two drops fine oil on that big bearing and let the machine set and cool. I do not believe the heat in the electronics.

Good chose on shopsmith bandsaw. I had a 16 " bandsaw and found that the shopsmith was better for redrawing at 4 " thick and then glue up.

When I have the heat problem and the head stock is hot , I put put. The machine drill pres mode , take back cover pan up and put few drops oil on the tail bearing and leave the machine up till cool. Next time I run the machine it is coller.
