are there any good plans for an outfeed table on this website? the only thing that gets me is that the table moves so the height is never the same.

so you like the addition that the 510 has? its mainly the table space and rip fence slots that attract me. i'm only 24 so i still have alot of stuff collecting to do. but your right im loving the parts that are to found on ebay. i've got lucky though my father inlaw used to do alot of wood working ...

i have to swallow my young ego now. it is a bearing with spacer. the serial is ss1506 and the problem is fixed now. the knurled silver collar just needed to be seated properly. so i do have one more question, as im sure you all know the table is really small is it hard or worth the money to upgrade ...

yes its more of a gray color and has a wrinkle texture(hammer finish i think) so i thought the slack might be taken out if i could get the silver lock ring farther down. however, i cant move it :mad: does anyone have any tips or tricks for that aspect? and there is a bearing in the inner tube i ...

ok so here you will down the tube thats the bearing thats moving and another pictures is just an over all view. the other two are with the do-hicky pushed in and pulled out

Ok, so i'll post pictures. The only sticker is the warning sticker, but i'll post pictures of the head stock and the piece i'm having the issue with. If i look down the quill from the backside i can see the inner bearing and that's the one that's sliding back and forth with that main center shaft ...

so with your advise to dive in and one sawdust video, I removed the quill and quickly noticed its not the whole quill assembly that moving, its just the inner shaft. I looked down the shaft and noticed my bearings are sliding back and forth in the quill tube as i will call it. so my next question ...

yea its odd to me but if the quill is locked down a can still grab the end with my finger and pull it in and out. like there is some kind of play? the silver collar does it need to be set to a certain gap to get this play out of it?
