I WD40ed and LiquidWrenched in the allen keyhole. After about an hour it slowly moved and then pulled off. The pix helped since I did not know what was under it. Looks like a Jacobs 33b chuck or or something like that may made in Conn.?

On my "new" 10e I loosened up the allen screw on the adaptor above the drill chuck and tried to get it to slide off the shaft - taking the drill chuck with it. I even tapped it lightly with a hammer. Nothing. Am I missing something that is holding the adaptor/chuck in place? Any suggestions of how ...

I took and old base I built and shorted it and beefed it up a bit to mount the 10E on. Ordered 3 new feed levers - the one on the machine was broken so I had to find a replacement.

I have a small lathe so I am good to go that way. My drill press is an old craftsman and it is fair - I thought the 10ER would make a great drill press with that big table that tilts and has a fence.

Any instruction or videos (youtube or vimeo etc) on how to get the quill out and check that over ...

I would like to cut off as much as I can and still have a good 12" sander with the table, and retain the ability to horizonatally bore. I wonder if I could put one of those short beal buffing systems on the lathe setup if I cut it down as much as possible?
