First winter project

Well here is the finished project. We only have some cosmetic cleanup to do but it is complete. I am very pleased with the results considering I really don't know what I am doing

But then by being 'frugal' and NOT spending foolishly one can obtain things not other wise attainable.

Funny you mentioned that. All the guys on my fishing web forum all said i should start making them for profit. I would consider that but I still have a lot to learn i.e. woodworking in general. Once I have some more experience under my belt doing different things and using all my tools I may try to start building some stuff for the fishing crowd as they always seem to have a lot of disposable income to burn on fishing stuff. I really liked working with the starboard plastic lumber the only problem with it the cost. A 4 X 8 sheet of the stuff costs hundreds of dollars not exactly comparable to a really nice sheet of Oak/Birch ply. But it is a necessity when building stuff for the marine environment as it is extremely stable and UV proof plus it doesn't rot or corrode.
