I came across a Shopsmith produced CD on the OPR narrated/demonstrated by Casey Chaffin 1987. It's very informative. Try to find one and you'll be impressed. They use the very first OPR which only had a wood table with no provision for under table routing. It's about 30-45 minutes long.hdoilcan wrote:Can you post pics of this set-up? I have an shopsmith ohpr also and was thinking of doing something similar. It would be nice to see for ideas.

Miter Slot- the is a Shopsmith tip from the old Saw Dust Sessions one of Drew's tips where he demonstrated the miter gauge is not safe in some situations & demonstrated one where instead of using the miter gauge he simply used a square piece of wood to make a mortise and it served two purposes: 1. it was safer than the long board being held by the gauge and 2. it prevented any tear out. Food for thought.
