first proceeds

I got a mint mark V shopsmith off CL from my wife for christmas, 400 bucks with a jointer and band saw. I thought I did pretty well.

I thought I would share with you all the first proceeds, as my first contribution.

never engaged in woodworking prior, but I have always loved projects and working with my hands...grew up in an old house after all.

Nice projects!!! Keep posting. I like the looks of the first one. Is it an end table, or a small book stand?
Really nice finish. Picture frame is also really nice I would like to see it when it is finished and has a picture in it.
And also "Welcome to the "family".

Very nice work. Inspires me to get my garage cleaned up and SS back together!

Thank you all for your kind comments. The first is a shoe rack, to replace the ikea wire one we have currently. I figured my first piece of furniture should be small and humble. The mallet is new, made with a old piece of firewood, I think it got a bit spalted. I have the frame finished, but my wife whisked it off to her office before I could remember to take a picture.
