What does the business end of the speed increaser look like?
I don't own one so I assumed it took the same type of fitment as the MARK V.

Nope, won't fit. The speed increaser has a shaft style hole with two set screws on opposing sides. the shaper adapter is a round rod with two flats ground into it as I recall.wiredone wrote:I guess some clarification is in order.

If the end of the speed increaser will accept a 5/8" shaft, then get about a 5" piece of 5/8" steel rod. Grind or file a tapered flat on it like what is on the main spindle, and mount a standard ShopSmith router chuck on it. Grind or file two opposite tapered flats on the other end to lock it securely in the speed increaser. If the speed increaser will only accept a 1/2" shaft, have a machine shop turn one end of the rod down to 1/2".

Sorry for the delayed response, but I did find bushings locally that were predrilled and had allen set screws in them. I did have to grind the head of the screws down a little to get the outside smooth. I have mounted these in the speed increaser, but have not had a chance yet to do the project that this was all for.
