Edge Gluing

Another possible idea. Have you tried using the Shopsmith in the horizontal boring function? That is one reason I bought my Shopsmith years ago but with biscuits and other capabilities today it is a lost function. I used it with pretty good results. Just remember to keep the veneer side down against the table and don't drill the holes too deep so you get better alignment. Also you don't have to edge glue if you have good joints which helps to eliminate glue to clean. Just glue the dowels into place. The tightness of the dowels helps keep the boards in good alignment.

Every once in a while I have that happen and the correction only slows you down for as long as it takes for the glue to dry.

I had to do this on one joint, Got them all done. A couple are not perfect but done. Thanks for that feed back.

I'll try this. With a jointed edge it just might work. No glue cleanup would be great.
