Bench mount Mark V?

Has anyone mounted a Mark V to a benchtop, like the 10ers? I am looking to use my SS mostly as a lathe and drill-press, well, one of them anyway. I see where adding weight helps with turning. I've got a bench that's mounted directly to the wall and is dead stable. I'm thinking to mount the SS to the top of it. I've been searching the forums but haven't stumbled onto anything like this. Any suggestions?

how did you attach the SS to the bench?

the left side I lagged bolted to the bench, the right side I bolted a wooden spacer that fit between the end cap to the bench and then screwed into it from the side hole of the right end cap.

when I find the sweet spot on the floor, I need to paint markers where the wheels go to insure a super solid surface when turning.

If your garage floor is anything like mine, farley, you better just decide where you want that puppy and then somehow create that sweet spot. If your luck is anything like mine, the only natural sweet spot will be in behind the water heater or somewhere equally inaccessible.

I have a bench end mounted to some plywood with short tubes for headstock maintenance purposes. I used some metal straps that are at a right angle and have a bunch of holes already drilled in them. Not sure if its strong enough for standard use, but it has worked fine for holding headstocks while I have been dropping motors and such.

That's what I'm thinking, but with a heavy gauge of angle iron, either lagged or through bolted to the bench.
