Well I have some reading to catch up on! Got a 6" Belt Sander and a 4" Jointer from the same guy that sold me the DC3300.
He has a 510 with the table system he's going to sell that really has me drooling, but I am several hundred dollars into to SS gear and have not made anything. Heck, I don't even know if I like woodworking yet. I am having fun and learning a lot, but...it is time to use the stuff I got. Still that Pro Planner or the Power Station....
Oh, that's right, I have yet to put the stuff I have into the 9' X 13' area:(

I didn't know what a Shopsmith was...
Three days later I owned one...
One week later I was rebuilding one...
Four months later I owned two....
Ok Ok, I'm up to four now...
No laughin'. An old issue of Shavings showed a fellow who's workshop was a carport and his homebuilt locking tool shed stored all his equipment / tools including a Mk5 was something like 8 x 3 x 5 ft.. He had it all figured out to compartment everything and just roll the SS out. Could see this done in some parts of the country (climate wise) and use one of those heavier canopy tents.

That sounds about the same size as Shipwright's 'cubby')

I have a 36' by 36' carport and that's actually a pretty neat idea. The only problem is, I live in the country so the floor belongs to mother nature (dirt floor). So right now I am working out the plans to build a small 16' x 16' shop. Hope to have it done by the winter as my SS in my father-in-laws garage next door.

1962 Magna Corporation Mark V Goldie (Serial #379277); 1983 Shopsmith Mark V Model 500 (Serial #165199, w/bandsaw & joiner), Shopsmith 20" Scroll saw w/stand (Serial #030191), and Shopsmith DC3300 dust collection system. Taking my time, learning all I can and making a big mess!
I am losing ground trying to setup equipment in my shop. I have had to move the dust collector out while I work on my workbench top replacement. In the mean time, I have been adding to the SS storage needs with a second sanding disk, drum sander, sanding supplies, a couple of feather boards, an out feed support and more. Also got a jointer guard upgrade.
Next up, I am going to make something that will leave you wondering -- wheels for my boat;)
