Craigslist Christmas

Post by wannabewoodworker »

So I needed to get me some solid surface material and MDF to make a new top for my router table I made last spring as the Corian I used is dished in the middle and cannot be flattened easily. I was looking around on Craigslist and found a guy getting rid of some Wilsonart for free. He had a custom cabinet shop and he was retiring so we met up today at his shop and I got all the stuff I needed for my new top for FREE! He also had some routers (5) he was selling so I bought a PC 7519 and 4519 for the whopping sum of $125. And then he really blows me away by showing me his router bit collection and tells me I can have them all for $100............. Then he shows me a beautiful bathroom vanity he needed to get rid of and tells me $25 and it's yours I call the wife and shoot her a pic and it came home with me as well. This thing has a Corian top with integrated sink and is just beautiful and will go great with our new bathroom. He also told me I could have all the wood I wanted for nothing. I took some cherry and ash and would have taken a lot more if I had the room unfortunately I took the 4Runner and not my pickup as i wasn't planning on hitting the jackpot but I am very happy with all of the things Reuven gave me. He also gave me 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket of Wilsonart contact cement. You just don't meet as nice and generous a person as Reuven was today very often and I was honored to have the opportunity to spend the afternoon with him.
