Leaf blowers???
Am I the only one using compressed air?

I use compressed air in the farm shop and used it in the woodshop when it was in that building. Now all I have in the woodshop is a little pancake compressor for nailers and staplers. It just won't keep up with a blow gun and takes forever to recover when it loses most of its air.
"The plan"... is for my son to bring a bore machine home from work this spring and we will do a 100'+ bore between the house and the farm shop and pull in a conduit to hold an air line, a water line and a couple of others. That way I won't have the racket of the air compressor in the house. I would just trench across but that area has the main driveway and I would rather not rip it up.
I do sometimes use the big Shop-vac with the hose plugged into the blower port and that moves a lot of air.

To me the difference between compressed air and leaf blower is the difference between a 22 pistol and cannon.
Even at 90PSi the steam of air leaving my blow gun is so small compared to the wind coming out of the leaf blower.

Let put it this way blow gun for my garage takes over 5 minutes. Leaf Blower 30 sec to a minute. Most of my time with the leaf blower is cleaning up the outside driveway where all the dust ended up.

I have used Air but the leaf blower does a lot better job.

I guess we're talking about different uses. I use a broom on the floor. I use air to clean my SS before putting it away and to blow the dust from tool shelves, bench tops etc., where an accurately directed stream is required.

.............but then, I don't have a leaf blower and I have "built in" air outlets in both my shops. The air is always right there and accessible.

In the farm shop one of the blow guns I use I bored out over-sized and added an extension about 20" long with a 45 degree curve at the end made out of 1/4" steel brake line tubing. It moves a lot of air and is very handy. I originally made it for blowing chaff out of tractor radiators. It will reach in from the side and between the radiator and the fan.
It works great for blowing stuff off.

You're absolutely right, Ed Each has it's own specific uses. I'd hate to try to blow the dust out of my Mark V with a leaf blower.

When inside the shop, an electric leaf blower is more tasteful than gasoline powered. (Pun intended)
