Pine box
My inlaws lived in a suite in our house for about ten years. My MIL bred Westies (West Highland White Terriers) and when she passed in 2007 we inherited her three dogs (Lucy, Star and Wendy). In the fall of 2011 we adopted a rescue Westie, Robby.

Last year Lucy, who was the eldest developed diabetes and was put on insulin twice a day. She soon developed cataracts, a common side affect, and by last weekend she was almost totally blind, had trouble standing and was starting to have fits. My wife had her put to sleep last Monday and we decided to bury her in our backyard.
So Tuesday I had my first project for my new workbench.

And my wife did a nice job of decorating the lid with pyrography.

Re:Another Pine box
Sadly, we had need of another pine box last week.
This one for Star who had developed colon cancer.

Re: Pine box
Been there, done that! Easter night this year. She lasted 18 yrs.
Wasn't as fancy or 'engraved', but quite functional.
Breaking the 'news' to Mama was not much 'fun' either!!
You have my sympathy!

Re: Pine box
My sympathies are with you and your wife.
That is a nice pair of boxes.
