Pdf much clearer! Wonder about the computer and drafting table being near the 'drafty'? door! Also if they were in the back 'multi height' room they would likely be more dust 'free'. That would also give you more 'swing' room around the SS. Other than the work bench being 'crowded' at the far end, it looks like a good start.
Gonna be home week end after the 4th?

I was born and raised in Tennessee, and my brother lives not too far up the road from you in Kingsport. I'm heading that direction this August. Gorgeous country.
My workshop space started very much like yours ... walkout basement with concrete block walls. In my case concrete on only one side, though. The other sides are insulated wood frame. I made the mistake of building stuff against the uninsulated concrete block wall without first insulating the wall. It still stays cool in summer courtesy of the house A/C, but gets dang frosty on cold winter days, despite the central heat. Both your hide and your checkbook will be much happier in winter if you insulate those walls before building out!
Your wood storage space is a great idea. I for one, do not have nearly enough. Especially since lovely hardwood lumber is readily available real cheap here in Ohio on Craigslist. I bet that is even more true where you are. I'm still trying to figure out a way to shoehorn in a wood kiln, so that I can buy green hardwood lumber at absurdly low prices. Modern wood kilns have less to do with heat than with dehumidifiers. I'm thinking that you might kill two birds with one stone there. Simple plans can be found online pretty easily.
