birch dresser with amber shellac

Finally consider this project done. I like the shellac finish but I need to tweak my recipe and technique. Also, the drawers tend to stick at certain times, but they slide freely right now, even in our humid conditions. Just the opposite of what I expected.

Whatever issues you had with applying the shellac do not show up in the photo. It looks very nice.

Looks very nice. I like amber shellac also. For the sticky drawers, try a little paraffin or candle wax on the wear points. I think you will notice a difference.

Mylar scotch tape applied to the runners and the drawers will make them slide easily.
