Mark VII from the basement

Hello,
New to the forum. I have wanted a Shopsmith since I first learned of their existence online. Found this Mark VII a couple of months ago. Ran smooth, but soon had the dreaded humming motor issue. I really should have followed the sawdust videos. Opened her up to find scary degraded wire insulation. Addressed that, lubed, and couldn't be more pleased.
She was pulled out of Rex Trailers basement, if that rings any bells.

Hard to see in the pic, but the insulation was extremely brittle and breaking off in pieces. Then shorting against other connectors, causing my motor to "hum" and not spin. It's all clean in there now.
Couple questions. I need a chuck key. Is there a specific key size? Best source?
Searching for the Mark VII emblem that goes on the base in the indentation. Anyone have one stored away?
Thinking of building three drawers to go in the base instead of the dust collection area. Anyone done anything similar?

Assuming you have the typical "Jacobs" chuck, a 3326A takes a "K32" key and a Multicraft chuck takes a "KK" key. Ace is de place if you have them, else a different hardware or BB store.

I think I see the shorting spot on the white wire.

I wonder if the shroud at the pulley end is oem?

I have been considering a similar storage idea for when I get to the bottom of my M VII. Although it sucks, the slow speed vacuum is not very effective and I do have a DC3300 anyway. Then there is the where do I get bags 'issue'.

Finally, I have an emblem, but it is cracked. PM me with an address and it is yours if you want.

The insulation issue only got worse as I moved things. Yeah, that white wire, white and red, and a black were all flaking bare.
Storage. I think I'll make drawers. Really basic. I'm thinking just wood runners to cut back on rattles from vibration. The space can't be wasted. I actually pulled the fan off as it will never collect dust on mine. External dust collection, from what I've read, is the way to go. Pic to follow.

I don't, but it had one, buried under sawdust in the base.
