the 30mm blades are cheap enough but I was advised by local engineering shop that reaming out to 1 1/4 would not be possible due to the blades' tool steel wrecking any reamer to be used.
If you follow the link in post #6 above, you will find a nice assortment of "saw blade reducing bushings". I believe that you can use the BU-515 model, which will reduce a 30mm blade to fit a 5/8" Shopsmith arbor.

You'll need to get a 5/8" Shopsmith arbor if you don't have one. Here's a link to the saw arbor page in the Shopsmith online catalog: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... arbors.htm. If shipping to the UK is a problem, you can find these on eBay as well.
