Standard parts for model 500
My son-in-law just gave (!!!) me a used shopsmith mark v. From the original purchase invoice (1981) I assume it's a model 500. My question is did the standard equipment include a lathe tool rest? It wasn't among the stuff I got with it. At any rate, where can I get a plain, bare-bones tool rest? The ones offered on the website aren't what I'm looking for, since they appear to be primarily for bowl turning.
If you are looking for the basic rest, I should have one. Email me at the address below if you are interested.gph wrote:My son-in-law just gave (!!!) me a used shopsmith mark v. Lathe Tool Holder
When I bought my first SS 510 back in the mid 80's I took a couple classes at the local SS store. We made a simple tool holder for the lathe tools that hung on the way tube. Any idea on how to find that plan ?gph wrote:My son-in-law just gave (!!!) me a used shopsmith mark v. From the original purchase invoice (1981) I assume it's a model 500.
