What might this be??

It is a piece of strap aluminum (1/8" thick) that was just laying around the shop. The two holes are 5/8' in diameter and are 4 3/4" apart. The two scribe marks are 3 1/4" apart.

Hey, Guy in Tampa, you may be interested in this. There have been related discussions on the forum that lead me to believe this could be a tool that you would use. Given its' current dimensions and markings, it would to be used with the Craftsman 4 in 1 Level (Laser Trac) part number 948247.

The finished product will have several more purposefully located scribe marks .

Nope, not until I'm done. However, I went looking for the posts/threads that I referred to. I was unable to locate them because I now believe they don't exist.

The posts by you, that I was thinking about, are NOT for Table Height but rather Table Tilt.

I'm going to take a wild guess a say it is a depth of cut gauge. At least, that's what the caption of the photo said when I hovered the mouse over it.

and thanks for the lesson. I did not know that the caption was displayed by hovering that way. I learn every day. Now tell me, who are the 34 viewers?

Ed, algale me and you. You raise the count every time you check the thread to see if there are any answers. Whoops! Now there are at least 36. Or 67! We'll never know.

Are you sure that looking at a thread again raises the number of viewers? I thought it was unique viewers.

There must be others. I have clicked on it maybe three times. I doubt that you guys have looked at it a combined thirty+.
