If the training is not realistic it is useless. Poor babies got hit with some puffballs. Hope their egos didn't get bruised.

OK, paintball guns can leave some colorful bruises. But, I DO agree. When I was in the Army, we were taught that every "incident" in training saved quite a few SERIOUS incidents, in live action. And, we DID lose some troops in training.

Gee I wonder how they would respond to crawling under live fire!

That means 'machine gun' rounds passing above.

Believe me that makes one get and stay as flat as possible and keep moving!

'Poor babies' need a reality check. IIUC the purpose of getting shot is to 'teach' them that if in a real situation they did what they did in the training session, they would have been killed or injured for sure. That is referred to as a wake up call.

I can remember while at Fort Leonard Wood in basic training.

Out on the range at night crawling through the snow, mud,
just a plain mess. all this while wearing full field gear, and that
wonderful poncho rain coat.......Also had the rifle with us in this mess.

Machine guns were firing over our heads, you could see the tracer
rounds and they looked close.......... We were told never stand up and, I
don't recall that anyone ever did.......

This whole school thing has gotten to the point of stupidity.........When we were in school every boy had a pocket knife with them. If you ever threatened someone with it you would have gone to principals office, and then home to face your parents.............

common sense went out the window in the time of the HIPPIES when they said, lets do our own thing. Now states are making dope legal????

Look at the clown we have as head of the Justice Department now. They had to look hard to find a guy like Mr. Holder....... end of rant ..fire away:(

I never thought of myself as a Hippie. I graduated high school in 59 and simple moved on (in the 60s) to all that naturally follows. I was young, fun loving, did not conform to many of the current social standards; I was a free spirit. I like bright colors, good music and I am peace loving. I was not a Hippie.
