Wood working plans
Anyone have a source for woodworking plans for a new woodworker.
Looking to break in my new to me SS.
Would like to do things that will make use of the different tools, including saw, band saw, drill press, horizontal boring, jig saw, sander, drum sander, lathe...
Simple to medium difficulty.
Thanks.

Shopsmith has a number of free plans here. See if any of those suit your fancy.
There are tons of plans available on the internet. If you have anything particular in mind, say a coffee table, just Google "coffee table plans".
While I'm not a big fan of the TV show, Woodsmith seems to do a very nice job with plans -- very well illustrated. These may cost you a couple bucks. They have a nice assortment here.

When I began woodworking I subscribed to Wood and Woodsmith magazines and made projects from them that interested me and fell within my skill set at the time. Over time, I tried to find projects that were increasingly challenging.
Both are still published in 'dead tree' form and both still offer a variety of projects with good directions. I think Wood offers a greater variety. Both can be found on CL for next to nothing, from time to time.
Enjoy that SS and have fun.

I have bought plans from many sources, Rockler, Woodcraft ect, YOU MUST GO OVER THEM IN DETAIL FOR MATH/MEASUREMENT DISCREPANCIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have gotten many for free because I caught those, and ask for a refund, latest is my work bench and an extra drawer/cabinet modular unit that fits under it made with according to them Baltic Birch, so many misses on 9mm is 3/8", 12mm is 3/8 on this cut, 12mm is a 1/2" but here it is 9mm, ect.

Measure once, cut as many times as needed to get it right! Bob
