Saw Blade Sharpening

Post by tvhorman »

I managed to obtain 35 blades for a song but several need sharpening. Being a "do it yourself" type of guy, what do you guys recommend as a sharpener that will do the 1.25" arbor blades? Seems like a lot of them top out at 1".

That's what the HF unit says, but I've found the clamping cone reached over 1 1/4" and holds the Shopsmith blades firmly.

I had thought I would have to add a large fender washer, but there was no need to do that.

If in doubt, ask the workers a HD to open the box so you can measure the top of the cone shaped clamp.
