I answered a CL ad for a SS with a 510 table since I have a 500 and seeing all the Google images of nice table setups I thought I'd like one too. To uncover details this turned out to be a "Shopenstein" or a"Frankensmith". 500 table and carriage with a 510 table and carriage. Black table tube with a grey colored 1954 3/4 HP motor. Two miter gauges too. Looks like he had tried to have the 500 table kept for dados? It has the insert. I guess not a bad idea. As with a lot of tools, the PO died so the guy who got it didn't want it. Interesting way to 'upgrade' a '500' to a '510'. A 3/4 hp motor is a bit of a mystery. Check to see if it is Gilmer or Poly-V. You might want to check the bench tubes to see if they are 1 7/8" od.

Yeah...1st generation Cummins Dodge D250...bad rep on the paint.

I will do this. I saw Nick Engler make mention of some painted tubed that came that way. No clue why.

I was just happy to get the table. Anything else is a bonus.

The Greenies and Goldies had painted bench tubes. They were silver.gray, not black.

Ok....so, the bottom tubes match my other 54 and have the larger diameter 1 7/8 od. Not sure went. As to the belt... don't know. Here are a couple pix. First, my 54 greenie with the broken casting. Then the "Frankensmith", to me they look different.

Well, I can't say for sure. I just say my truck had the measles.

It will however carry a very healthy amount of firewood and not even squat. 27.2 mpg too.

They are both "A" castings.

The greenie has a Gilmer drive.

The frankensmith has poly-v drive.

Both have 3/4 hp motors age appropriate to the castings.
