Jigsaw Model 610

Post by brianvw »

I am a new woodworker and recently purchased a ShopSmith that is circa 1955. It came with a Jigsaw Model 610, but no manual. After breaking two blades, I decided to step back and hunt for a manual. I see ShopSmith has a Jigsaw Packet but it doesn't specify model 610. The manuals I've found online all seem to be for the Model A-34, which doesn't look like mine. I also see that ShopSmith stopped making these Jigsaws.

My questions are, is this Jigsaw worth keeping? And if so, where can I find a manual?

Thanks for putting up with the new guy,

The latest Shopsmith Jig Saw manual is 52 pages long. This has different part numbers, many still valid, than the earlier versions of the jig saw manual.
