It's "funny", one of my "complaints" with the shopsmith is having to adjust the allen screws EVERY time on the fence. I guess that is the incorrect method. Now I'll have to figure out the correct method. LOL

I got the 115v - 230v version.
Conjecture, but dual voltage not available today with emerson apparently not wanting to expose the the hidden splice. If it were dual voltage, that splice would be connected to an external wire.

I wish I had an old Emerson Motor (meaning one that can not be repaired) to dig around in. That splice had to have been exposed at one time, meaning it could be dug out again. Now the windings might get destroyed in the meantime but then I would "know" that an Emerson can not be reversed.
I don't mean to be doubting anyone's word, especially Bill's), but that is what I believe.

I have an Emerson resurrected motor that I intend to pry around in one of these days. I will document that then.
IIRC it was close beneath the visible windings.
Non-access to that splice is what makes the Emerson motor non-reversible.
The subject motor is of uncertain origin, but very closely resembles an Emerson internally. I got it off e-bay. A basket case fer sure, but it now works(normal direction only).
