How do I price a used shopsmith

Post by sandshot »

I have a used Mark V I am going to sell. I have no idea what to ask. It is an Mark V I purchased new, approximately 30 years. The only extra tool is a band saw. Still operational, no rust and has always been protected in shop or garage. Any help appreciated. I am in the Tyler, Texas area if that matters.

I would check listings on Craigslist in your area. Also, look on eBay at completed sales. Of course you need to take condition into account.

What table system? 500? 505? 510? 520?

What table is on the bandsaw? Cover?

Any accessories with it? Biscuit joiner, tenon jig are two examples. There are a ton.

How do you want to sell it? CL? Ebay? If you dont plan to do ebay, then in my opinion completed ebay sales are of little value...location trumps ebay.

Just a few thoughts.
