Wood stove vac for dust collection

We have a wood pellet stove. They sold us a special Shop vac to remove the very fine ash as regular maintenance. Has anyone tried one of these for dust collection?

should work
I have been using a leaf vac. Been working better than my 5hp shop vac.
No filters to clean, just dump what in the bag.
