Scroll saw blade in SS jigsaw?

Scroll saw blade in SS jigsaw?
I was thinking I could use the Shopsmith jigsaw to cope the ends of crown molding rather than doing it by hand but the length of the piece makes maneuvering it problematic. Can you use the round 360 degree type scroll saw blades that allow you to change directions without rotating the piece? Recently inherited a SS Mark V and am just getting familiar with its operation (and the accessories).

Yes you can use round (spiral) blades, but you shouldn't have to. Simply reduce the length of the pieces by sawing at a 45 degree angle. With shorter pieces you can saw the cope. When two pieces sawn at a 45 are put together, the seam becomes invisible with a little spackle and paint.
