5509375??????
How about a 'name'. Part numbers have been known to change over the years.
505937???
Which cutters?

Which cutters are you asking about setup?

Why do I get the impression that something is flying around in circles?

Tom, the part number that you have provided does not cross in any of the Shopsmith catalogs or in the online parts list.captaintom52 wrote:cabinet set SS#505937
We cannot help until we know the part number. If you do not have a part number other than the one provided, maybe a photo image would help.
Are these something like what you have.

Or are you working with something like these.

I guess I got lucky but I don't know why the part number search did not work. PN 505937 Complete Cabinet Set - six cutters total. $104.15

I don't have this set but each set came with an instruction sheet that tells how to mount the cutters. If you don't have that, I suggest you call customer service to get a copy. It is important, for safety reasons, that these cutters be stacked properly.

He has nailed down the set part number(different from the thread title)(an honest error).
However he has not revealed which of the six he needs help setting up.

I don't know - maybe.
captaintom; to use this cabinet set, you also need the appropriate arbor and rub collar.

The tongued washer when installed should be directly beneath the nut.

Re: cabinet set ss# 505937 shaper cutters
Ok sorry for the part # screw up. I have had this set for some time. they came in a blister pack with no instructions. probably been 3 years since I have used them and I have forgotten the set up. I did call SS customer service and they did not have a clue. Suggested I try the forum so here I am. This may be obvious but they are used for cope and stick shaping. here is the crux.... there are two rail and stile cutters and two coping cutters. Profiles are similar but cutting direction is reversed. there are two slot cutters of different depths. a picture is attached if that helps.
