I personally have never done chalkboards, back when our kids were young I don't think they had this paint in the stores for everyone to buy. Now I want to get some to play with but it just hasn't happened yet.

Back when I went to school black boards (chalk boards) were made from slate. :)
So was my 'notepad'! :D
And roofs were shingled with slate on the east cost. Pennsylvania in particular. Maybe a byproduct of the coal mines.

Since this table did not sell, I will revise, to add strength to it. I see this table being used for kiddo's and therefore it will need beefed up some!

I have decided to remove the legs and sell it as a wall hanging.

REASON:
A.) Possible lead based paint, residue.
B.) Liability/possible law suit
C.) Nearly impossible to make this vintage sash, sturdy & durable.
