Does anyone know where to find information on serial #s and age of 10ER's? I have a chance to buy one very reasonably but I'd likr to know how old it is. Serial # is ER 2850

The shape it's in is more important.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

Looks like the mark 5 came out in 1953/1954. So that 10ER is at least 54 years old.
