Today I was playing around on my lathe. I had a scrap 4x4 8 inches long
I mounted it up, and started turning.
after a couple of hours I had a ring on a spindle.
I have always watched at the traveling Shop Smith traveling shows
the demonstrators would turn a 2x2 down and make a ring on a spindle.
but all I happen to have was some douglas fir 4x4.
I am happy with the way it turned out if for nothing else I can say I made it.
Another picture I would like to post is one of a SS band saw I was given.
My next door neighbor got divorced a couple of years ago, her ex=husband is a wood worker. I all Jet tools.
Today while I was working on the ring project. She came over and asked me how long I had been working with wood.
I told on and off for the pat 45 years. more off than on. I told her I'm not much of a wood worker I just enjoy making saw dust.
Well she told me her ex- husband left a couple of tools behind when he moved to Texas. they were mine if I wanted them.
I went over and there were a few hand tools, some clamps and the band saw.
it is an older one with a cast iron table, it all moves freely.
so now I have my band saw.
as the title says I wish I could figure out how to post pictures from my phone I could show these things off.
Wish I could post some pictures from my phone

What kind of phone do you have? I recently figured out how to do it from my iPad, and an iPhone should work the same.
I haven't tried it from my Android phone, though. I have it set up to automatically push photos to Dropbox, and then I can post them from my PC.

I have an LG.
My oldest son tried to down load the pictures to my computer so I could post them didn't work
then he tried to post them from my phone and it didn't work either.
I guess I will have to keep my camera in my pocket at all times. lol

You may have to resize the pics to upload them to the forum. The max size is 1000 X 1000.
Then try again.

You just have to keep at it. It's difficult at first but once you get the hang of it's easy. I finally today figured out how to do it on an iPhone. It's a free app called Resize It.
