I used to play paintball and later played airsoft, so when i started woodworking and most of the friends i used to play the above sports with have moved off, then i used my old Modular MOLLE 11-Pouch Tactical Assault Vest the pockets are really deep, and have covers, for the most part you can reach you hands into them easily, or at least you can if you get the correct pockets, then great thing about it is, you can customize it to whatever layout of pockets and pocket size you want, and it is light weight.

found mine at an army surplus store for $20

On occasion I use an apron. Bought it at Home Depot. Didn't like the neck strap, so I cut the straps off and used a pair of heavy duty suspenders. Works great.

Just for the heck of it - I'm going to say a kind word about the neck strap! My sweetie took a tuck in my neck strap so the bib fits higher on my front. Only slight issue with it is it just barely fits over my head with glasses on.
Octogenarian's have an earned right to be a curmudgeon.
