Router table set up = help needed

I have a pro fence system, and purchased the router table #522155.
This table only has the round tubes, so I am guessing I will not be able to hook it up to the pro fence rails.
Does anyone know if Shopsmith makes pro fence rails that I can connect to this?
The other option is to put it on the side adjustable table ( to the far right)
But I am not sure how to connect it to that - there does not seem to be a place to screw the table to the side area.
Any help or advice is most welcome.

When did you purchase that router table??? If you purchased it from SS, it must have been some time ago, as the number does knot come up as a good item anymore. If you purchased it from e-bay, etc., you may be out of luck. You can call SS and see if they have a retrofit kit for it or if you can buy individual parts to make it work, but here is the current router tablethat they offer that works with the Pro Fence System.

Hi Tim,
I purchased it at the Shopsmith traveling academy about 1 1/2 years ago, just got around to setting it up.
It came from Shopsmith, so not sure why the heck it does not come up - that is not that long ago.

Welcome to these forums. I am glad that you joined us. I believe I actually have the router table like yours. It came as part of my Incra pkg. At the time I bought it (also through the traveling academy) I had to tell them if I had the 510 or the 520 table system. Each required a different table. If you go to this web pageand type in your number, you will see for yourself that it does knot come up as a current item number. If I were you, I wood call SS about it. They may have a retrofit kit available.

I still do knot have the Pro Fence System.

Do knot plan on it either.

it may not be the same for the Incra as for the Jointech, but the equivalent Jointech router table comes without rails and one buys front and back main table rails from SS to match one's SS.

take a look at the hole locations on your router table versus those in your main table. if the main and router tables are the same size and the holes match up then the solution should be straight forward (if a bit pricey).

You need to talk to customer service before purchasing parts to do this upgrade. There are several dimensional differences that could screw you up.

The catalog shows the router table (555995) to be 20"x21 3/4". I thought that this was the router table that I have but mine measures 19"x21 3/4" and my front and rear rails are only 19" long.

The front and rear rails on the main table are only 17 1/2" long.

The mounting holes on the router table are centered and separated from one another by 8".

The holes in the main table are not centered and are not equally spaced. Measuring from the center mounting hole, one is offset by approximately
7 3/8" and the other by approximately 8 1/4".

I am sure that your router table can be equipped with 520 rails but I am equally certain that you could buy the wrong parts if you do not communicate with customer service. There are more variables here than I would have expected.

Example: I thought the front and rear rails were interchangeable between the router table and the main table until I looked. It doesn't require a tape measure to see that they are not.

I would have bet that my router table is the one shown to be 555995 until I realized that mine is 1" shorter than the advertised dimension. I don't know what mine is. I'll have to check the order form.

Added Info: The Front Rail on my 555995 Router Table is 521922 and the Rear Rail is 521920.

The Front Rail on the Main Table is 518488 and the Rear Rail is 518490 and we now know that the differences are overall length and mounting hole spacing.

I need to measure my table to see if it is the same as Dusty's.
Looks like a call to Shopsmith is in order.
I could kick myself for not setting the system up when I ordered it in the first place. So now I am stuck with whatever I have got.
I guess if all else fails, I can build a cabinet to mount everything on....again another expense.
Hopefully they will have rails to fit this.
If anyone else comes up with any solutions or ideas, or more information on this, please post.
I know I am not the only one out there who ordered these items, so I bet there are many others with the same issues.

Never fear. Rails will not be the show stopper. You can always buy rails and either make the table fit or make a new table. After all, that is just wood work. Oh, you may be drilling some holes in aluminum rails but that is almost wood working.
