porter cable omnijig

Ok, it is not a Shopsmith product. With that said I am looking for opinions on the new PC 77240 dovetail jig. I have the old 24" 7716 that has served me well for half blind joints but is a real pain to change over for other operations.I plan to upgrade soon and cannot make up my mind between the PC and the Leigh. Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't own one myself, but from what I've heard in the woodworker's grapevine, Leigh is touted as the Cadillac of dovetail jigs. Although they are spendy, Leigh dovetail jigs have been around for years and performed very well. They are fully adjustable and have many add ons. It was only in the last few years that Rockler came out with a dovetail jig. Only recently have they come out with through dovetail guides. They are a more inexpensive alternative to Leigh, but without adjustable fingers.
