Birdhouses one of those spring things

Not worried about the birds as they don't care. Those birds who build in houses will also build in your houses and shops. My concern is about the water damage to the birdhouse as a leak will damage our other buildings. But, thanks for the responses.

I guess the main thing is to not have a watertight bottom on a birdhouse that has a leaky roof.

Well I hope none of you have been loosing sleep over the possibilities of the birdhouse suffering from lack of drainage. Here is a shot of the bottom so as you see this is not an issue. The two sides/bottom have gaps running the whole length of the inside opening.

Just a short update.
The birdhouses sat for a few days as the paint smell dissipated then I hung them up. For the last 3 days the birdhouse on the left has been busy, it looks like we have tenants.
No sign of any action at the other two, or the couple of older ones that have been with us for a lot of years now.
Don't know if it is still early or if I missed the first batch of home seekers.
One of the older houses has been the home for some wrens the last few years but I have not heard or seen any yet this year in our yard.
