I was my father's TV remote control my whole childhood. I changed the channels, raised and lowered the sound and adjusted the rabbit ears. I fact I knew the exact position to put the rabbit ears for each channel. I remember one channel I prayed my father didn't want to watch, because of that channel I have to hold the rabbit ears in my left hand, stand on my right leg point my right hand toward the north and the my left lef to west. It made it hard to get involved in a TV program standing like that.

:D
Ed-

How about in addition to changing the channels, sliding the aluminum foil up and down the antenna in order to improve reception? I remember those days well! :)
