MDF or Plywood for jigs?
I want to build me a resaw jig and a miter gauge auxiliary fence. Which wood ya use, MDF or Plywood?
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

I'd use 3/4" birch paint grade PW. .... But then I use that for almost everything. I do use MDF for router templates and the like because you can get such a clean edge and adjust it with sandpaper to get it right, but for the things you're talking about I'd use PW for strength.

Resaw jig - Plywood for the fence rider and MDF for the rocker arm. I used oak and poplar for mine (cuttoffs)
Miter gauge axillary fence. MDF would be straight and is easily replaced. A straight piece of plywood would also be good, if the edges aren't splintered. If your fence is going to be long (say 20") I'd recommend backing MDF with a strip of hardwood.
