Just bought a 10ER with a Jointer

Post by bdad80 »

How does the Jointer mount to the 10ER and get power. I have Mark V's but this is new to me. Found this on Craigslist for $125 with all of the attachments, mounted on a factory stand and casters, it also has the speed changer. I bought it with intentions of restoring. Inspired by the restorations I have seen on this forum.

Any info regarding this machine would be appreciated.

1) I assume it is no longer on GR CL since I do not see it!

2) Is what you bought a Model 10 without a jointer?

3) Are you wanting to mount a jointer to it that was intended for a Mark 5/V?

Here is a picture of what I bought.
Sorry I was probably premature in asking my question.
I'll figure it out when I get it home.

Well, you can see the special drive pulley on the motor shaft that drives the jointer. Nice looking machine, you found a real bargain. Enjoy it!

Congratulations! You have acquired a very rare animal. The model 10 has the 4E jointer headrest which is rarely seen(second one this week, only the third ever seen by me!). You appear to also have a model 4E jointer which mounts on that strange headrest. The jointer attaches to the bar on the headrest, and a belt connects the jointer pulley to the fourth(largest outer) pulley on the motor.
