Well now this simply proves with no doubt my memory is faulty. I dug into my it didn't work drawer after checking receipts and learning that in fact I had purchased one of the Shopsmith version, in that drawer I have Shopsmith's version with a note in the bag indicating that part did not work out well for me. I have no idea why and it is seldom I have purchased anything from Shopsmith that fell short of expectation. I will not speak for others but will say the later version purchaed from Penn State has served me without issue. Fjimp
