trivet making jig

Post by papahammer8 »

just spent last 2 hours in shopmaking the jig. make sure the trivet is size to make equal dadoes. i didn't , i made the jig for 5 in. so i made my dadoes 5/8thin. not bad looking . then i got some of my red oak. don't know if i had the mk5 setting right had it on dadoes . my dado is new . but i had a lot of splintering. i cut 3 before i got 1 prensentable. after a little sanding . it's a start oh well back to the drawing board . might try some poplar next. speed up mk5 .
