I have a 5/8”Dato arbor. Can it be used safely with a standard saw blade? I have the dato arbor on a saw blade and on the SS, running as fast as 4500 RPM (faster than it would be used at) with no wobble but have not cut anything yet.
Have any one used a Dato arbor this way?
I am having trouble posting some pictures of my SS with 10” cut off the legs. There seems to be a problem with the connection between the computer and me chair. I will try again this weekend.

5/8”Dato arbor
"A man's most valuable trait is a judicious sense of what not to believe." -- Greek playwright Euripides (485-406 B.C.)
I have used the dado arbor with regular saw blades with no problem. On some models there can be interference between the end of the arbor and tiebar/tiebar guard.sawlab wrote:I have a 5/8”Dato arbor.
