okay guys, bigeddy needs help here and I can't seem to deliver - maybe you can. He believes he watched Nick do some small item turning using the PowerStation. He wants to do the same but I can't locate the Session. Someone saw it, besides bigeddy .... HELP. Please provide a link.
I'm thinking it might have been some of those uTube session that Nick was doing rather than a Sawdust Session.
Anyone got ideas on how to equipment a power station to hold items for turning. Better yet, anyone got some pictures.
Aaah, I found it. The solution is a fixture:
http://www.shopsmithacademy.com/SS_Archives/SS108/SS108_Turning_Pens_files/images/Power%20Stand%20Lathe.pdf . This fixture provides a place to mount the Tool Rest. On the Mark V this function is served by the Carriage.
Some of the items that would be needed but are NOT included with a Power Station are detailed on page B-13 in
this manual.
The items are a drive center, the tailstock and the tool rest. (top right hand side). They can all be purchased direct from Shopsmith and are often available on ebay.
