Just bought a 10ER and Im missing a part
First post, I have been searching for wood tools so that I can make patterns for the foundry I am building, so I bought a 10ER from this nice little old lady. Got a great deal too, only $50, comes with all kinds of pulleys, the jigsaw, the jointer, the wheels, blades, original sales brochure, and the original manuals for the 10ER as well as all of the add ons, and the original packing slip. The problem is, it does not have the drill chuck. Where can I find a relatively cheap replacement? I've done some searching, but I haven't been able to tell if any of the Morse taper sizes will fit, or even if the 1/2 chcuck listed for the mark V on the SS website will. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Ebay, it takes a 5/8" straight bore chuck. The Mark V chuck will work.filonin_2 wrote:First post, I have been searching for wood tools so that I can make patterns for the foundry I am building, so I bought a 10ER from this nice little old lady. Thanks for the quick reply. So, something like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/milling-machine-Jac ... 43a388661c Forgive my ignorance if this isn't the right one, I have no woodworking experiance at all.

Ok, just to be sure I have this correct before I buy the wrong thing, I am looking for a 5/8 bore chuck without a shank, right?SDSSmith wrote:No, 5/8" bore. One like this: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/dr_chuck.htm

Good Luck! The last one was probably originally on a Model 10! IMHO it is a better chuck!
