Shopsmith Mark 7
I am a new member from Ontario, Canada. I am looking at getting a Mark 7 but Shopsmith only has one store in Mississauga callled All-In-One Tools. The problem is the store owner doesn't have the time or resources to go out and perform demos. I hope Shopsmith realizes the importance of having demos. Most of the guys I talk to don't seam to know anything about Shopsmith products. The Mark 7 being a very specialized and expensive piece of equipment I think getting the word out and showing customers what this machine can really do is very important. Not everyone is willing to pay for quality but not everyone wants the offshore inferior products. I just hope that Shopsmith can get their pricing inline so the average woodworker and new woodworkers like myself can afford this new Mark 7.

The 'owner' may not be able to acquire one. There seems to be an 'issue' regarding shipping to Canada. As I understand it, they do not 'discount'(wholesale) to him either.
Good Luck!

Mark 7
Hi,
I agree with you northside, All in one are not going out and making promotion about ss except for their website, it has been many years since I receive any flyers by mail, and their prices are not cheap on the exchange which is almost at par right now. Shipping is another factor. I bought my Mark V when ss had a store in Montreal and they use to go to every show even in Quebec city where I live near. Those were the days ...
Anybody knows if we will be able to retrofit our Mark520 into a Mark7 ?
Beside the new Power pro motor, is there any other difference than a new left leg that allows to lift at that end also ?
Happy holidays everyone !

BOTH end castings are different. A different tie rod on both ends. Table support tubes - rack on both sides(to allow reversing the table).camerio wrote:Hi,
